Cricket Victoria is the peak body for cricket in the state of Victoria and a member of Cricket Australia. Formed amongst several local cricket clubs in 1907 and known then as the Victorian Cricket Association, Cricket Victoria has a long and proud history in the landscape of the state. Cricket Victoria aims to inspire all Victorians to love cricket by using the sport as a vehicle to bring people together from different nationalities, cultures and backgrounds.

In partnership, Academy Movement school cricket academies in Victoria’s South-East are branded to Melbourne Stars and North-West to Melbourne Renegades Big Bash teams.



Rugby Australia formally know as the Australian Rugby Union is the sport's national governing body in Australia and is a member of World Rugby, Oceania Rugby and SANZAAR.

Through its partnership with Academy Movement, Rugby Australia want to expand and grow the game throughout Australia in the school sector and provide pathways for talented young male and female rugby players in the sport of Rugby Union.

AFL Victoria is the governing body for Australian Rules Football across Victoria, driving participation, talent development and community engagement in one of Australia’s most iconic sports.

Through our partnership, AFL Victoria supports the development of subject-based AFL academies within schools, providing students with access to high-quality coaching, curriculum-aligned resources, and authentic sporting pathways. Together, we’re helping young people stay engaged in education while building skills, confidence and future opportunities through sport.

Essendon Football Club plays a key role in supporting the delivery of Academy Movement’s AFL academies across schools within its Next Generation Academy (NGA) region.

Through this partnership, Essendon provides authentic club connection points for students, including access to coaching expertise, engagement opportunities and clear talent pathways aligned to the AFL Victoria framework. Together, we are creating meaningful, place-based opportunities for young people to stay engaged in their education while developing their skills, confidence and aspirations through Australian Rules Football.

SAVILE is an RTO owned and operated by past secondary school teachers with a sole focus on VCE/VET Sport and Recreation and aim to lead the industry in content, assessment and support for schools.


The Elite Performance Journal (EPJ) idea was developed and co-founded by Cameron Orr and Carlo Tizzano. Both with respective professional rugby backgrounds and experience from all corners of the globe, a passion for self-development and fulfilling potential was the key inspiration for the EPJ movement.

Basketball Victoria Inc. (formerly the Victorian Basketball Association) is the peak body for basketball in Victoria. Basketball Victoria (BV), a not-for-profit organisation, is a member driven governing body and provides a range of services for over 140 affiliated associations in both metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

BV are partnered with Academy Movement to improve student outcomes in schools through the sport of basketball.

Hart Sport is a leading Australasian manufacturer providing sports, fitness, active and physical education play equipment, since 1992.

Supplier of quality sporting goods, sports and fitness equipment, exercise gear, training aids, coaching accessories, physical education, sportswear and team wear.

The Australian Sports Foundation receives donations on behalf of Not For Profit organisations and fund programs designed to increase healthy activity levels and grow participation in sport. Grants are distributed to support projects that improve access to sport for a range of people and communities.

Melton Secondary College has provided young people in the Melton area with successful futures since 1975. They are a growing, single campus, co-educational school for students from Years 7 to 12.

Melton are the first school to sign on to establishing a structured in-school Rugby Union Academy with Academy Movement.

Narre Warren South P-12 College strives to develop young people so they can become fulfilled, positive members and leaders of our society. By recognising and celebrating diversity, high aspirations and positive relations, we create a harmonious school that has a positive sense of purpose and a commitment to each and every person.

They are the second school to sign on to establishing a structured in-school Rugby Union Academy with Academy Movement Inc.

St Francis Catholic College (SFCC) – a place where the spiritual and academic growth of each student is nurtured in a supportive, caring, encouraging and faith-filled environment.

Their staff are committed to developing learning programs, based on the Victorian Curriculum, that foster creativity, communication, critical thinking and collaboration.

St Francis Catholic College are the first non-sport specific Academy that Academy Movement Inc has established. The ‘Elite Sports Academy’ at SFCC has a strong strength and conditioning focus which has the goal of helping athletes to excel in and out of the classroom.

In 2026 SFCC will also be launching a specialised Cricket Academy at their Cobblebank Campus.

Sunshine College is a multi-campus public high school in Melbourne’s Inner West which serves the educational needs of a proudly diverse community of approximately 1100 young people.

Sunshine College are the third school to sign on to establishing a structured in-school Rugby Union Academy with Academy Movement.

Mernda Central College’s (MCC) vision is to empower all members of the college community to aim high, show respect, behave safely and value our community.

MCC is committed to preparing their students for life beyond the school gates to ensure they truly are ‘world-ready’. They provide our students with a range of diverse opportunities to prepare them to enter a globalised society where digital communication will define and shape their lives.

Mernda Central College are the fourth school to sign on to establishing a structured in-school Rugby Union Academy with Academy Movement.

Lara Secondary College is a school in the Lara/North Geelong region of Victoria. They aim to create a safe and dynamic learning environment where students and staff are empowered to realise their potential through living our values of Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Commitment.

Lara Secondary College are the fifth school to sign on to establishing a structured in-school Rugby Union Academy with Academy Movement. They are also the first school to add an Academy Movement Cricket Academy under the Melbourne Renegades and Cricket Victoria partnership which will launch in 2025.

Alkira Secondary College located in Cranbourne North, provide, personalised education in a happy learning environment, addressing the needs of the students’ unique learning styles, cultivating independent thought, promoting Respect, Integrity, Excellence and Care for others and building self-confidence and self-esteem.

Alkira have partnered with Academy Movement to establish a Melbourne Stars branded Cricket Academy and to oversee their Elite Sport Academy for all non-cricket playing athletes.

Warragul Regional College is the school of choice for their community because they develop talents, nurture curiosity and empower individuals to follow their passion. To do this they are more like a garden than a factory – they nurture the learning experience suited to each student and believe learning is growing.

Warragul Regional College have partnered with Academy Movement in 2024, to establish a Melbourne Renegades branded Cricket Academy for improved student outcomes and engagement.

Established in 2009, Manor Lakes P-12 College is a school committed to improving learning outcomes and pathways, for all our students. We are committed to the ongoing creation of a community of responsible learners who have a belief in their ability to learn and succeed.

Since 2016, the school has focused on improving literacy outcomes which will lead to improved academic performance in all sectors of the college, (Primary P-6, Secondary through to VM and VCE, and Supported Learning to provide access to life skills and future pathways).

Manor Lakes are establishing with the help of AM an Sports Science Academy and Elite Sports Academy for all athletes at the college.

Laverton P–12 College is the first of our Basketball Academy Schools, located 21 kilometres west of Melbourne, opened in 2008 and features modern, well-resourced facilities that support strong teaching and learning programs. The school has around 720 students from Foundation to Year 12 and a diverse multicultural community, including many from Karen and Pacific Islander backgrounds. With a Student Family Occupation and Education (SFOE) index of 0.6525, the school is committed to supporting students from varied socioeconomic circumstances.

Mickleham Secondary College runs both Rugby Union and Cricket Academies. It’s vision is “to co-create an inclusive, supportive learning community where people strive to achieve their best.” Its mission is “to make a difference to each individual and provide them with the best opportunities for their future.” The school is guided by core values of Achievement, Respect, Community, and Honesty — encouraging students to set high expectations, aim for personal bests, treat others with kindness and consideration, work together as part of a wider community, and act with integrity.

Glenroy College is a co-educational Year 7-12 school in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, about 13 kilometres from the CBD. Our students are drawn from the nearby communities of Glenroy, Coburg, Oak Park, Hadfield and Pascoe Vale. We value the diversity within our school community and believe all our students can achieve to a high standard.
